Family highlights:

I am currently spending this season of my life with my mom and dad in Downers Grove and taking advantage of this time with them until the Lord moves me else where! I am the middle child of three. I have an a sister who is 4 years older than me who is my best friend! She is also a teacher and lives in the city of Chicago, so we try to see each other as often as we can with our busy schedules! My younger brother is still in college and is studying Physical Education at Illinois State University! I also can't forget about my pug, Finley!

The impact of faith:

My Catholic faith is very important to me, which is why I chose to teach at Notre Dame! My faith helps me emphasize on the development of the whole child—intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social. The Catholic values help me nurture not only academic growth but also spiritual and personal development in your students. This helps a the child feel seen, known, and loved as a student, daughter or son, sibling, friend, and especially a child of the Kingdom!

Free times and pastimes:

I love being outdoors, but when I can't be I like spending time being creative (most likely painting)! I have a big extended family, so we're most likely doing something together! My favorite is football season because we try to make it to as many Notre Dame football games and if we don't go, were always having parties to watch them on TV. I grew up cheering on Notre Dame, so it's very fitting I now get to cheer on a second!

Favorite quote/philosophy:

"Perhaps you were born for such a time as this." Esther 4:14. This verse was something I was reminded of especially my last two years at Illinois State and something I still carry into my daily life and teaching! God sets us out on our own paths to share our gifts. He knows us best, so lean into where He sends you and be confident you are meant to be there!
