The Impact of Faith:
I grew up listening to my parents sing Gospel covers, including Southern Gospel classics like "Jesus Knows All About It" by The Orrells. This experience shaped my earliest understanding of music as a spiritual and communal gift. My family regularly attended church, my mother taught Sunday School, and we prayed daily. Faith and music were integrated into daily life. At Notre Dame, I strive to model that same spirit for my students. Whether I’m teaching music or guiding young learners in the classroom, I want them to feel that faith is not just something we talk about—it’s something we live. It’s in how we treat one another, how we show kindness, and how we find meaning in our work and worship
Free times and pastimes:
My free time is spent with my family.
Favorite quote/philosophy:
Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Just a note...
I have almost 30 years of experience in early childhood music programming and education. In 2017, I formally taught two's and three's preschool at the Clarendon Hills Park District. In addition to teaching at Notre Dame and as a private music teacher, I also instruct an online English writing course for a Catholic University in Chicago.
