Notre Dame School is a place where students not only learn, but also live their faith.
Here Are Our Featured Faith Activities:
Prayer
Notre Dame provides students an atmosphere for learning and living the faith. Students practice their faith in their daily school routine. Each class begins with prayer.
Weekly Mass
Students take part in weekly mass, participate in daily prayer and attend liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Each week a different grade helps to plan the weekly mass as well as participate in it. Families are invited to share in the celebration.
Faith Families
Notre Dame promotes academic excellence through the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional development of each student. Students collaborate with each other across grades to extend their learning about their faith.
Sacraments
Students are immersed in a catholic, faith based community:
- Reconciliation- The reception of first reconciliation is done in second grade. Students in grades 3-8 are afforded the opportunity to receive the Sacrament throughout the year.
- First Holy Communion- The opportunity to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist is offered to our second graders in the spring. Parents actively participate in the preparation of their child for the reception of the sacraments.
Traditions
Living Rosary, All Souls Day Remembrance, and Living Stations are all presented by our students each year.
