A note from Bishop Louis Tylka: The world has watched in horror the devastating effects of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. This unjust and unnecessary war has shocked and frightened the world, most especially the people of Ukraine. This war must cease!
For our part, we are called to support our brothers and sisters in whatever way possible and in particular by our prayers for peace. Today, Pope Francis is offering prayers of consecration for Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I encourage all the faithful in the Diocese of Peoria to share in this consecration by offering prayers. Let us unite in a time of prayer imploring God's mercy through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to bring about an end to this conflict.
